2011

       Let's be real.

       No more pretending.

       No more hiding behind a smile.

       No more pretending to have it all together.

       2011. We have a chance to start over: new beginnings, 2nd chances. We need to take this chance to reflect on our lives and see where we've gone wrong in the past.

       A lot of times we pretend we're happy. We don't want people to know we're hurt or hurting. We want them to believe the lie that everything is okay, that everything is perfect this side of heaven. Truth is, things will never be perfect this side of heaven.

       When people ask how you are, instead of replying "fine" we should give them ways they can pray for us when we're struggling. We all go through those "ruts" in life where nothing seems to work out and everything seems to be coming to pieces.

       Let go of the stress and let God work miracles.

       Let's start this year off right. Even if you don't like making New Year's Resolutions (which I don't because I usually end up forgetting them by the end of the week) let's make this year about being real with ourselves, others, and ultimately, God.

       Do hard things.
